Configure your room types

To configure your room types, go the Room Types tab.

If Sponteous is integrated with your PMS, your room types should appear. To synchronize again the platform with your PMS or to search for new types of rooms, press the synchronization button at the right corner .

To add a room type manually, press Add room type and fill in the different fields.

Room type name

This cell indicates the internal name, the public name and the unique identifier.

Internal name

The internal name is not visible to customers. To modify it, click on it.

Public name

To change the public name you simply need to click on it. To add or edit a translation, choose a language from the dropdown menu (located at the left corner). The whole table will switch to the chosen language.

Identifier

The identifier is a unique id assigned to the room type. This is generated by the PMS and cannot be modified.

Photo

To add photos or create a gallery, place your cursor over the cell or image and click the modify button.

A popup will open and allow you to add photos. To identify the cover photo that will be displayed when your guests load the page, click on the desired photo. A blue rectangle will then frame it.

Description

It allows you to add a description of the room and list its attributes. To change the language, use the drop-down menu in the left corner.

Minimum price & Maximum bid

These field allows you to indicate the minimum and maximum value of a bid for this specific room type. 

Advanced boudaries settings

You can define specific boundaries according to initial room type booked. If an advanced field is empty, the default amount will be applied. 

Under the room types name, an approximate gap is indicated. 

Reference price

The reference price is used to create hierachy between your room types. It is also useful to establish your minium and maximum boudaries.  

If the platform is connected with your PMS, it is possible to activate a dynamic reference price. To make the reference price dynamic, press the button below the reference price field.

A popup will open. Choose Dynamic rate and select the reference rate type.

When a reference price is dynamic, it is displayed in blue in the room type table.

Accepted price

Note : This feature is not available with all integrations

This field allows you to indicate an amount that will be automatically accepted if the room is available at the time of acceptance. If several offers are received beyond the minimum price, the best will be accepted. To activate or deactivate the price, press the toggle button.

Advanced acceptation settings

You can define specific amounts according to initial room type booked. If an advanced field is empty, the default amount will be applied.

Upgradable rooms

This field is used to indicate the types of rooms that can be offered as an upgrade. A maximum of 2 room types can be offered. For a room type to be offered, its reference price must be higher than the reference price of the customer's current room.

Advanced upgradable rooms settings

You can add up to two additionnal upgradable room types as backup. If an upgradable room types is not available, Sponteous will offer you guests to bid on your backup 1. If your backup 1 is not available, your backup 2 will be offered. 

Active

This toggle button allows you to activate or deactivate a room.

Delete

This button allows you to delete a room type.
